For Your Information

Ok, so I have been getting a bunch of questions from people about Elder Noren being in Ukraine as well. So, I just wanted to address it so everybody knows that everything is okay! haha

I will not be seeing him while I am in Ukraine, and I can still write him. Before I even applied to the program I wrote him and told him about it and asked him what he thought. He said go for it, and we both made sure there wouldn't be any breaking of mission rules. There are two missions in Ukraine, one in Donetsk and one in Kiev. So I will be outside of his mission and can still write him. I will never go anywhere near Donetsk, except maybe to Odessa, to the beach (but that is still a good few hours away)! But, I will never be anywhere around him. For friends of you who are not LDS, it isn't that I don't want to see him exactly, it's just against mission rules. On top of that, he is in Ukraine on the Lord's time and has a ton of work to do, I refuse to be a distraction to him in anyway. Plus, I simply wouldn't be able to be around him and not give him a hug! duh!

In the ILP program their are four areas to chose from, Ukraine, Russia, Mexico, and China...Mexico was too close to home, too familiar, I wanted something new! China was just way too new to me...I have to work myself up to travel in China (I'll be ready for it one day haha ). That left Russia and Ukraine. I was always open to Russia, if I didn't get into Ukraine, however I really wanted to travel into more of western Europe, and choosing Ukraine is permitting me to go to Austria, Germany, Poland, Czech, and a couple others. So, everybody knows I did not chose Ukraine to be near David, in fact it made me really hesitate about going, but I prayed about it and know it is right, and I already adore this country! It just so happens to be a plus, that I will get to learn and experience similar things as Elder Noren! Hope this answers peoples questions!
